Scythe LGA775 Bolt Thru/Stabilizer Kit SCCSI-775

Scythe has always used push pin mounting on their CPU coolers. They are now offering a kit to convert any of their coolers to provide better mounting and stability. IMO a little overpriced but good quality and function. Hopefully Scythe will see the light and start using bolt thru on all their coolers. On the other hand push pin allows the installation of a cooler without having to remove the mobo. So yes installation of this kit requires the mobo to be removed unless you have full access to the back of the mobo. I would definitely recommend this kit for some of Scythes heavier coolers like the Orochi and Zipang.

Better Back-Plate Conversion: User can either convert the push-pin type of LGA775 CPU cooler into screw/back-plate more secure mounting or convert the socket 478 CPU cooler onto the LGA775 socket by using the included retention bars and back-plate.

User Friendly Push-Pin Removal Tool: A functional push-pin removal tool is included in the package which allows the user to easily remove the push-pin from the CPU cooler
