Thermalright TRue Black Rev A Ultra-120 eXtreme CPU Cooler
Product Description
The latest incarnation of the TRUE Black Ultra 120 Extreme Rev A which includes mounting hardware for LGA1366/LGA775/AM2*. This cooler includes two sets of traditional wire clips for mounting up to 2 x 120mm fans and includes Chill Factor 2 thermal compound. This is a heatsink w/ accessories only and fans are not included. You can select some specially discounted fans above or visit the 120mm fan section for even more choices. If you wish to use the new fan holders they and Arctic Silver 5 are also available as specially priced options above.
A few words about fans... you will find the largest selection of discounted (off our regular price) 120mm fans we have ever offered with a cooler above. The included wire clips will work with any 120x25 or 120x38mm fan. However if you want the plastic fan shrouds they only work with 25mm thick fans with excludes the Ultra Kaze on the option list and any 38mm thick fan in our 120mm fan section. As for recommendations 1-2 Scythe S-Flex 120mm 63.7CFM (matches the 1366 RT version of this cooler) are probably close to optimal noise/performance. I am still using a single 110CFM slipstream with a shroud. I also recommend the fan shroud as it better funnels air through the heatsink. With clips a lot of air bypasses the heatsink.
The TRue Black is the same heatsink as all the U120E models except it is black. In addition the TRue is the only one to include Chill Factor 2, 4 fan clips and 775/1366/AM2 mounting hardware.
*TRUE Black 120 Rev.A does not include a backplate for AM2 & AM2+ systems. If your motherboard is equipped with plastic backplate, you will need an AM2 metal backplate.
As always I shopped this cooler and the prices online are, for the most part, ludicrous ranging from $59.99-$102.30 for the old original TRUE black model w/o LGA1366 support. Only one retailer even had the Rev A at $74.99.
Uses high quality aluminum fins for best balance of heat absorption and conduction.
Utilizes six high quality 6mm heatpipes, strategically positioned to pick up the heat from the CPU.
Proprietary bent winglet design to minimize airflow resistance.

Stack of 52 pieces of aluminum fins, the most over any other heatsinks in the market. Can be covered entirely by a 120mm fan to absorb all in-coming air flow.
